The Ulu Kapit Post

Well, this post seems to be pretty much overdue, but you can't blame me, I've been busy

(crawling my way out of a friggin MOUNTAIN of homework , that is D:< )

Anyway, I've been pretty much filled in on a bunch of stuff since I left Kuching ranging from the Merdeka Day performance to a certain teacher exploding in class, so I spose its my turn to tell you about mah trip to Ulu Kapit ;P

Alrighty, let's start from the beginning then.

and.. well, this actually went on for quite a bit before it hit me...

there are only so many ways you can photograph the wing of a plane o_o

Imma gonna just do all you guys a favour and skip the other 59 window shots :B

Soo,,, fastforwarding to London itself, there's a bunch of stuff that's pretty different over there

Breakfast for instance. We kept on eating sausages and bacon when all I wanted was cereal -__-
In case you guys didn't know, the cereal there is really yummy, lol

I mean it has REAL fruits inside, not like the cornflakes here which have a PICTURE of a strawberry on the outside, darn you Kellogg's


"all organic, non-GMO, invisible strawberries included, get yours TODAY!"

Also, the neighbourhoods there are pretty different. I mean, there's water almost everywhere you go o_O

Honestly, you'd think you'd be able to see the whole of London if you just had a sampan, haha

or a really big duck ._.

then we'd be able to do ANYTHING

*sighs wistfully*

Even the streets are all pretty different
(look! Elmo went all badass and quit Sesame Street)

And the COFFEE SHOPS just have downright weird names

o_o lol


Anyway, having fully (and unnecessarily) explained how London is different from Kuching -_-, lemme just give you all a run through of a few things I did over there.

I...

1) Saw men in furry hats

2) Visited the River Thames




3) Explored the origin of the lady finger's name




4) Climbed up steps





5) Climbed down steps




6) Discovered giant Hershey's Kisses




7) Acted like a tourist and took pictures of a red phone booth -_- lol






7) Went to the Millennium Bridge and took photos of the London panorama

8) Saw an umbrella that smiled back :)

9) Attacked City Hall

10) Went to Borough Market (a really cool place with like, tons of food to buy, taste and sample)

11) Realised how fast London Double Decker buses move

12) Visited the Greenwich Meridian line

13) Hung out with Martin in different time zones

13) Went to the London Memorial

14) Visited the Greenwich Meridian line

15) Went to jail with a couple of strangers, lol

16) Wore mah converses all over town (yes, that's a ketchup pack)

17) Went to the Museum of Natural History

18) Hung out with prehistoric dino-fish

19) Went all bollywood with a hedge

20) Visited the London Eye

21) Saw Big Ben

I was checkin' out movies to watch for the near future and I found a few cool movies to look forward to...

Okay....first movie to look forward to would be the movie 2012

2012 is about the whole theory on the world ending on 12th December 2012.If you watch the trailer,which is ass whoopin awesome!!,You'll see that they portray us human beings as defenseless against mother nature on 12/12/2012.Then,the trailer goes on about how the government can't keep 6 billion people in the world safe because they can't.We're all helpless ants and someone throws a huge bucket of water over us and we drown...hehe.So fckin' morbid right??but it looks and sounds cool!!

Anyway,second movie to look forward to would be Toy Story 3

Yes,Toy Story 3.After ten years since the release of toy story 2,they are making Toy Story 3!!This movie comes out June 18 2010.LOL.Anyway,in the third movie,Andy is going to college and he has to find homes for all his toys (Woody,Buzz,Potato guy,slinky dog and bla bla bla....you know all the toys right?).So yea,he then finds them a home in a day care and then all the adventures happen.Don't know what adventures happen but I love Toy Story so I wanna watch it next year!! hehe....

Okay....moving on....the third movie ya'll should look forward to is Alice In Wonderland

This movie comes out march 2010.Disney is definitely moving on from animated movies to real life movies.Anyway,watch the trailer for this movie.You won't be disappointed with the CG graphics for this one.If you like Pirates of the Caribbean,you'll like Alice in Wonderland.Why?? Johnny Depp is inside!! And yes,also for the awesome CG animators from POTC.Amazing amazing graphics.Recommend everyone to watch all movies in HD.Its more lively and uplifting when you do so.

Just when you think things couldn't get any better,look out for this movie in july 2010.....its none other than.....Avatar : The Last Airbender

Don't get this movie confused with the movie Avatar from director James Cameron (december 2009)This is Avatar:The Last Airbender directed by M. Night Shamalyan.Yes,this movie is the long anticipated LIVE ACTION movie from Avatar.The teaser trailer is out already so go check it out!Go check out the casts for the movie too.You'll be surprised with who plays who.Oh and btw,no asians taking any roles in the movie.WTF.I would type everything I know abt this upcoming movie but you should all go find out yourselves.Its more overwhelming that way.Just don't pee in your pants when you find out who are the casts.[Hint:Guys from Slumdog Millionaire,Twilight and Die Hard are in it]Just to name a few.LOL.Oh and go find out who was supposed to play Zukko before they recasted tht role.

Anyway,check out these must watch movie releases for 2009 if you can't wait for 2010 movies.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince [for die hard Harry Potter fans]

G.I Joe [Channing Tatum ain't dancing much for you in this movie]

The Final Destination [If you're a fan of the first 3 movies,watch this one.Its mind-blowingly awesome.They saved the best for last,so watch this in 3D to tickle your taste buds]

I love you,Beth Cooper [Not exactly Heroes but you'll like who from Heroes is in it.Watch the trailer to put this on your top movie list.]

The picture of Dorian Gray [Put the book on hold and watch the movie.The Prince Caspian guy from Narnia is playing the role of Dorian Gray.Looks promising.Take my word for it.Everlasting youth....oooh la la...=p]

500 Days of Summer [Cute comedy-romance movie]

Dance Flick [Another parody movie from the ever entertaining Wayan brothers.They parody movies such as Step up and Save the last Dance]

Oh and prior to Dance Flick,watch Save the last Dance 1 and 2.You think step up and you got served inspire you to dance?Watch save the last dance to add more inspiration and passion for dancing.

The Proposal [Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock,need there be anymore explanation?]

National Lampoon movies are a must watch for Ryan Reynold fans by the way.[van wilder]

The Hangover [This will teach you a lesson on bachelor parties]
